Code Risk Platform Apiiro Hires John Leon as VP of Business Development

As a pioneering start-up in the field of code security and risk management. Apiiro is now dealing with soaring demand by hiring John Leon as its new Vice President of Business Development.

With more than 15 years of experience in high-growth technology companies such as GitHub, Leon will seek “partner-driven growth” for Apiiro by expanding its Go-to-Market strategy across the ecosystem of technology, cloud marketplace, and consulting partners.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join such an amazing company that is defining and leading an entirely new market category,” said John Leon in a press release. “Apiiro has an incredible vision for Application Risk Management that is solving some of the industry’s most difficult challenges. I’m looking forward to building an ecosystem around this mission and technology to take Apiiro’s Go-to-Market capabilities to the next level.”

Founded in 2020, Apiiro manages application risks from design to code to cloud. It offers organizations a comprehensive view of security and compliance risks by setting, learning and securing. Apiiro is embedded with pre-defined adaptive code governance rules that enable it to continuously learn all products, projects and repositories to spot risky material changes. The governance rules also assure compliance, privacy and security for clients.

The company, headquartered in Tel Aviv, was recently named as the “Most Innovative Startup” at the RSA Innovation Sandbox Contest.

“Finally, customers can establish and manage a mature application security program – automatically. Apiiro is experiencing a surge in demand that is almost never seen in a company that launched less than eight months ago,: said Idan Plotnik, the CEO of Apiiro. “John’s wide knowledge and experience in the DevSecOps domain is essential to reaching a global scale.”
